When I got there, at 9:40, I was told the 10:00 session was full and that I would have to wait until 11:00. What? I was a little peeved. I had come here to do a good thing and was told I would have to wait for over an hour to serve. Hum….
Hum indeed. The Spirit taught me a great lesson. Temple service is not a right. It is an opportunity, a privilege. There are millions of members in the world without access. And, through the ages, billions of people who have not had the opportunity to worship the Lord in a temple. Waiting an hour is a small price to pay for the privilege of participating in the sacred ordinances found only in His house.
I waited. And it was a good thing for me.
